Why does inventory require special training?
Adding, tracking and correctly documenting inventory is a whole different layer on top of bookkeeping. There is a relationship between three different General Ledger accounts when a business has inventory which typically isn't seen in service based transactions.

Do I have to use a certain software to track inventory?
Quickbooks offers inventory tracking which will be suitable for a lot of businesses. Some businesses require additional features such as lots and landed costs. Those additonal features require an add on application. We will discuss both in this course.
